Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI 2023: Quiet and 'Disquiet' on the runway with Antar-Agni

Disquiet was what Ujjawal Dubey of Antar-Agni called his collection at Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI at Jio World Garden. Projected was a gentle, quiet movement of style and elegance. The fabrics included cotton silks, cotton, Bemberg and hand-woven cotton that brought alive the flow and feel to the garments.

The colour story was serene with calm white, ivory, mud green, mint and black. The silhouettes were fluidly structured with the label’s signature pleats and drapes that pushed the style directions onto a higher plane. The organic surface ornamentation added to the positive vibes of the collection that had a marked gender-fluid quality.

Micro detailing played a major role in enhancing the surface texturing of the classic kurtas, shirts and gender-fluid robes for men, which could also look great on women. Giving special emphasis to women’s wear, the butterfly-sleeved, cropped blouse stood out. Adding to the style quotient was the ceramic jewellery by Siraj Saxena.

And the audience got all excited with the quick pace of the models strutting their stuff.
