Kishwer Merchantt has been in the industry for 24 years. She made her debut in Shaktimaan and since then, there is no looking back. Kishwer, who has been majorly active in the television industry, has done two Bollywood films. Recently, in an interview with a leading daily, the actress spoke about an unpleasant experience of casting couch.
"It happened with me when I had gone for a meeting- but just once. My mother was accompanying me. I was told that I'll have to sleep with the hero. I politely turned down the offer and we left. I wouldn't say ki ye bahut hota hai or it's a normal thing. Industry badnaam hai lekin har industry mein ye cheez hoti hai," Kishwer told.

On the personal front, Kishwer is preparing to welcome her first child with her husband Suyyash Rai in August this year. In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon on Mother's Day, the actress said they didn't want to rush into starting a family and wanted to give it time. "Suyyash and I have an age gap of 8 years. Obviously, that never bothered us. I felt he needs to do so much and his career was just starting. At that time, even I was working. We gave it a thought and knew that we don’t want to rush into it and wanted to give it time and do it when we are ready. Even when it happened, we were really not prepared for it. But now we are ready, totally prepared and eagerly waiting," she said.
