It's been quite some time since Hina Khan made an exit from Ekta Kapoor's popular show Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 as Komolika earlier this year to attend the Cannes Film Festival 2019 to unveil her first film Line's poster. It was being said that the actress will be shortly returning to the show after catering to her other professional commitments that include yet another feature film. However, as per the latest reports, although Komolika's character will be making a comeback but not with Hina. According to reports on an entertainment portal, Ekta and her team are looking for a replacement for Hina and if sources are to be believed, Jasmin Bhasin will be the new Komolika. Jasmin was last seen in Star Plus' show Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji which aired its last episode in August.
The source close to the show informed the portal that a number of leading actresses like Ragini Khanna, Madhurima Tuli, Ansha Sayyed, Riddhi Dogra, Ragini Khanna, Disha Parmar and Sanaya Irani were suggested to Ekta, but she only liked Sanaya, who eventually declined it considering the role being a negative one. "The writers are bringing back Komolika who will be joining hands with Mr. Bajaj played by Karan Singh Grover, this time. Ekta Kapoor only liked Sanaya Irani, but the actress was not keen to play the character," the source told. The source further added that Hina won't be returned for sure but nothing with Jasmin has been finalised and the official announcement will be made shortly.

Jasmin shot to fame with her stint on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. She was last seen as Happy Mehra in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji but the show failed to draw the audience' attention and came to closure within just seven months. Speaking of Komolika, her character went missing after she fell off the cliff post a physical tiff with Anurag and Prerna played by Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes. Currently, the story focuses on Anurag, Prerna and Mr.Bajaj played by Karan Singh Grover.
