From Ekta Kapoor to Divyanka Tripathi, TV celebs mourn sudden demise of former Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj

Former external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj passed away at AIIMS, Delhi today. She was 67. Her sudden death due to cardiac arrest has shocked the entire nation.

TV actors including Divyanka Tripathi, Mouni Roy, Saumya Tandon, Karanvir Bohra, Ekta Kapoor, Ravi Dubey and many have mourned the death of the former Foreign Minister.

Ekta Kapoor wrote on her Twitter page, "In my younger years I got so much support from Shushma ji ! I still have pictures with her giving me my first award all over my office! gutted sad at d loss of a lady who taught me my first lesson... women should help women grow ! Thanku n rip shushmaji #RIPSushmaSwarajJi". (sic)

Divyanka Tripathi wrote, “On one hand - victory, on the other - such a tremendous loss! Two extreme news in a day. India will miss a true leader like you @SushmaSwaraj ji! May you be in peace. (sic)

 

 

Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain actress Saumya Tandon mentioned in her post that Sushma Swaraj was an inspiration to many. She wrote, “A real inspiration and my most favourite leader, you will be missed. I heard her speak once live couldn’t help getting goosebumps. When I was a kid my father told me, she should be PM of this country one day. A true woman leader of India. #SushmaSwaraj ji RIP." (sic)
