Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been the unabashed king of comic content since the last 10 years. The characters of this popular daily soap have made their ways into the hearts of the audience and seem to be the talk of each household as if they are a part of every Indian family. One such character from the show has been making headlines of late and that is of Dayaben played by Disha Vakani. Disha made an exit from the show in 2017 for a six month to one-year maternity leave but till date hasn't returned to the show, making her fans restless to see her on screen.
After much humdrum, there is an update on her return. As per reports from an entertainment portal, Dayaben will be likely returning to the Gada house post ICC World Cup 2019. That means the character will be returning after July 14. Isn't that exciting, but we said character and not the actor. If the reports are to be believed, the makers are yet to decide whether Disha will make a comeback as Dayaben or a new actor will step into her shoes.

The producer of the show, Asit Kumar Modi, during various interviews has expressed his desire to see Disha enacting the character but said if she doesn't come to a conclusion, a new actress will be searched for as the show stands more important than any actor. However, a while ago, there were rumours of Disha returning to the show soon but no official confirmation came from the concerned authorities from the show.
For the unversed, Disha demanded a hike in fees to return back to the show and laid down her set of conditions considering her daughter is too young. Well, it remains interesting to see what happens next and how will the makers plan Dayaben's most anticipated comeback in the show.
