After a long break, ace comedian Kapil Sharma has returned to the small screen with a fresh new season of his popular and well-loved show The Kapil Sharma Show. The teaser of the new show was released today. The comedy show first started in April 2016 and was the No.1 show on the television for more than a year before it went off air in August last year after Kapil’s famous altercation with his colleagues Sunil Grover and Chandan Prabhakar. The show’s ratings took a hit after Sunil left the show. Ali Asgar who was a prominent member of the show also left the show in the aftermath of the mid-air brawl between Kapil and Sunil.
Now, Kapil is back with a bang and will be looking to rise from the ashes like a phoenix with his brand new season. The teaser of the show already harps on the feel-good feelings that the earlier season used to bring and is trying to make people nostalgic about the show and its myriad characters. Sony TV made the official announcement for the show with the teaser.

Kapil’s next show Family Time With Kapil Sharma that started airing in March 2018 did not live up to the expectations and flopped miserably and went off-air abruptly. Kapil’s mental health as well his struggle with alcohol was touted as the main reason behind the show’s failure apart from its dull format.

The new season of The Kapil Sharma Show is being produced by Salman Khan and will bring back Kapil’s core team comprising of Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda and Sumona Chakravarti. However, Sunil, Ali, Upasana Singh and Sugandha Mishra who earlier were seen on Kapil’s show will not be collaborating with him this time around. The new season of the show will apparently be similar to last season as gauged from the sets of the show.
