Shamshera Box Office Day 2: Sanjay Dutt & Ranbir Kapoor's film fails to show significant growth

Ranbir Kapoor's much-anticipated and hyped return to the silver screen, Shamshera, opened to mixed responses. The dacoit drama, co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, took a slow start at the box office on Friday. 

On Saturday, Shamshera showed no significant growth at the box office. While the film minted Rs. 10.25 crores on Friday, it made Rs. 10.50 crores on day 2. The total, as of now, is Rs. 20.75 crores. Despite remaining low, Shamshera is among the top 5 opening films.

Shamshera, directed by Karan Malhotra, is about a tribal leader named Shamshera. He is betrayed by Sanjay Dutt's Shuddh Singh. Shamshera's son Balli avenges his father's death in the film. Ranbir has done a double role whereas Vaani plays Balli's ladylove. 

Shamshera released in theatres on July 22.
