Box Office: Chris Hemsworth’s Thor Love and Thunder receives thunderous opening; Vidyut’s Khuda Haafiz 2 gathers speed; R Madhavan’s Rocketry maintains growth; Varun-Kiara’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo continues to mint money

The Indian box office has finally peaked with films minting money at the theatres. Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale and Natalie Portman’s Thor: Love and Thunder has had a thunderous weekend, R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect maintains pace, Vidyut Jammwal’s Khuda Haafiz 2 gathers speed after a sluggish start while Jug Jugg Jeeyo witnesses an upward trend over the weekend.

Taika Waititi directed Thor: Love and Thunder has taken the Indian box office by storm and has become the fifth biggest opening Hollywood film. It has garnered Rs 64.80 crore at the Indian box office nett. The film also stars Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie.

On the other hand, R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is enjoying tremendous word-of-mouth even after one week’s release. The film braves over new releases and maintains growth in weekend 2 with Rs 12.15 crore.

Vidyut’s Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2: Agni Pariksha starring Shivaleeka Oberoi and directed by Faruk Kabir gathers speed after a slow start on Day 1. The film has garnered Rs 6.15 crore on Day 4.

Meanwhile, there’s no stopping Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo. The film is running undeterred at the box office despite new releases and has minted Rs 78.8 crores at the box office after week 3 of release. The film is working well in premium multiplexes but mass pockets remain low.
