Actor-producer Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior released on January 10 along with the Deepika Padukone-starrer Chhapaak. The film is a biographical period action drama in 3D, starring Ajay, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol and Sharad Kelkar. The film is directed by Om Raut. Set in the 17th century, it is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was a subedar in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire.
On its second Wednesday, the film collected Rs 7.09 crore, taking the total box office collections to Rs 190.43 crore.. The film shows terrific response from the audience and is clearly inching closer to Rs 200 crore mark.
