The recently released Akshay Kumar's, Kareena Kapoor Khan's, Kiara Advani's and Diljit Dosanjh's Good Newwz was one of the highly anticipated films of the year and this fact has been proven with the help of its box-office collection. The film that reunites Akshay with Kareena after a long time, is the former's fourth blockbuster film in the same year. Good Newwz, despite facing obstacles like protest and imposition of Section 144 in the country, managed to draw enormous footfalls to the theatre and opened with a fantastic number that is estimated to be Rs 17.56 crores on its first day itself.
Considering the New Year weekend, this highly entertaining film went on to mint a spectacular number at the box-office. Good Newwz, on Saturday, minted around Rs. 21.78 crores. Taking the figures ahead at lightning speed, the film garnered a whopping estimated collection of Rs. 25.65 crores on Sunday. The total box-office collection for three days collectively stands Rs. 64.99 crores.
Good Newwz is presented by Zee Studios, in association with Cape Of Good Films and is a Dharma Productions film. Directed by Raj Mehta, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan, this film revolves around two couples opting for In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) to conceive their child and released on December 27, 2019.
