Box Office: Chhichhore remains unstoppable on its second Sunday; Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl inches closer to Rs 50 crore mark

Nitesh Tiwari's Chhichhore, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Naveen Polishetty, Prateik Babbar and others, opened with a business of Rs 7.32 crore at the box office. Now after 10 days of its release, the film remains unstoppable as it garnered a massive second Sunday earning of Rs 10.47 crore, taking the total collections of the film to Rs 94.06 crore. Interestingly, Chhichhore's second weekend collections stands at Rs 25.23 crore, which is higher than Kesari, Total Dhamaa, Super 30Saaho (Hindi) and Gully Boy.

Despite the competition from the fresh release, Chhichhore continues to earn the love of audiences across multiplex and single screens. Trade anaylst Taran Adarsh tweeted the film's box office numbers and mentioned that the film has a potential to challenge lifetime business of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story [Sushant Singh Rajput’s highest grossing film] in coming days.

On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Dream Girl runs riot at the box office at it collected Rs 18.10 crore on its first Sunday. The total first weekend box office collections of Dream Girl now stand at Rs 44.57 crore. Setting box office on fire, Dream Girl trends better than Raazi [Rs 32.94 crore], Stree [Rs 32.27 crore] and URI: The Surgical Strike [Rs 35.73 crore]. 

Now it will be interesting to see if Dream Girl's Monday numbers are good and if it turns out to be a big HIT like Chhichhore.
