Box Office: ‘Aladdin’ is the first choice of moviegoers, ‘India’s Most Wanted’ struggles, ‘PM Narendra Modi’ has a steady run

Disney’s live-action film Aladdin led the box office collections in the country. It has emerged as the first choice of moviegoers and has fared much better than Hindi releases. Starring Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott and Marwan Kenzari the film has garnered a cool Rs 22.03 crores at the Indian box office.

Arjun Kapoor starrer India’s Most Wanted has garnered good reviews from the critics but is having a lukewarm run at the box office. It witnessed growth over the weekend but that has not been too substantial a number. According to a trade report, the film has collected only Rs 8.66 crore in the three days of its release. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is inspired by a true story and is based on the lives of Intelligence Bureau officers. These officers in disguise are on a manhunt for India’s Most Wanted Terrorist.

On the other hand, Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi has been maintaining its steady business at the box office. The film has shown a positive trend across the weekend and has amassed Rs 11.76 crore in three days of its release. The film is based on the inspiring life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Besides Vivek, it also stars Zarina Wahab, Boman Irani, Suresh Oberoi and others.

Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh starrer De De Pyaar De has crossed Rs 75 crore at the box office. It has maintained its business and done steady run in metros and Tier-2 cities. However, the film might not be able to cross the Rs 100 crore mark as Salman Khan’s Bharat releases next Wednesday.
