Box Office: Ayushmann Khurrana’s AndhaDhun earns over Rs 200 crore in China within 13 days of its release!

The makers of AndhaDhun, starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role, announced on Monday that the film has earned over Rs 200 crore at the box office in China, a news agency reports. AndhaDhun, directed by Sriram Raghavan, released in China on April 3 with the title Piano Player and has earned over Rs 200 crore within 13 days of its release in the country.

AndhaDhun makers, as per the report, also said that it is the fifth highest grossing Indian film in China after Dangal, Secret Superstar, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Hindi Medium. "We had no idea that our little 'experimental film' would travel so much. Experimental doesn't mean no fun. The film, I learn, is screening in both subtitled and dubbed versions in different screens. My whole team is super thrilled," Sriram said in a statement.

Ayushmann is also ecstatic about the success of his film in China and said in a statement recently, "Cinema has always had universal appeal and it has cut across languages and borders. It's overwhelming to see Andhadhun among such great cinema that has made our country proud.”

AndhaDhun, in fact, also opened the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) and received a standing ovation from the audience.

                                                  

In India as well, Ayushmann’s film fared exceptionally well at the box office and was highly appraised by critics.

AndhaDhun also stars Radhika Apte and Tabu in the lead roles.
