AndhaDhun director Sriram Raghavan’s next thriller begins filming in June, to be produced by Ramesh Taurani

After the success of his 2018 film AndhaDhun, filmmaker Sriram Raghavan is all set to begin work on his next project, which will be produced by Ramesh Taurani and will begin filming in June, a leading daily reports. Sriram’s new film is a thriller as well and while confirming the news to the daily, Ramesh said that the director had signed up for the film last year.

“Yes, we signed Sriram last year and had planned to start this film soon after he wrapped up AndhaDhun. He’s a brilliant director who has proved his mettle time and again. We are all excited and have been meeting regularly,” Ramesh told the daily.

The cast for the film hasn’t been finalized as yet and will be finalized after the scripting stage. “The film is currently being scripted. We will begin casting as soon as he finishes writing it. Sriram is known for his thrillers and we are working on making this one as interesting as the others,” Ramesh added.

Sriram Raghavan has directed films such as Ek Hasina Thi, Johnny Gaddaar, Agent Vinod and Badlapur. AndhaDhun, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte, was a major success in 2018. Not only was the film appraised by critics, but it also fared well at the box office.

AndhaDhun also won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Film.
