Box Office: Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy crosses the 50 crore mark within three days of its release

Ranveer Singh’s new film Gully Boy has already crossed the 50 crore mark at the box office within three days of its release as its current earnings stand at Rs 51.15 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Sunday that the film is faring extremely well in metro cities while in ‘tier-2 cities,’ the numbers will improve as well.

Moreover, Taran also said that the film will most definitely perform well at the box office on Sunday as Gully Boy is eyeing a Rs 70 crore plus weekend. On the first day of its release, Gully Boy earned Rs 19.40 crore, Rs 13.10 crore on the second day and Rs 18.65 crore on the third. Read Taran’s tweet:

Gully Boy opened on February 14 and has impressed critics as well apart from fans while Ranveer, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Alia’s respective performances have been praised severely.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy stars Ranveer Singh as a street rapper from Mumbai and his character is inspired by the life of Indian rappers Naezy aka Naved Shaikh and DIVINE aka Vivian Fernandes.

Alia Bhatt stars as a medical student in Gully Boy and Ranveer’s love interest while Kalki Koechlin appears as an influential musician. The film was received extremely well at its world premiere at the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival over the weekend.
