Box Office: URI: The Surgical Strike is still roaring, Manikarnika inches closer to the Rs 100 crore mark, ELKDTAL dips

Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer URI: The Surgical Strike is still managing to hold the audience’s attention at the box office and keep the cash registers ringing. The film is working its magic despite being in theatres for more than a month. Directed by debutant director Aditya Dhar, the film has managed to rake in Rs 1.70 crore on Monday and Rs 1.61 crore on Tuesday, bringing its total to Rs 216.21 crore.

URI: The Surgical Strike has even managed to surpass the fifth-weekend collection of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. URI is also Vicky’s and Yami’s first film to cross the coveted Rs 100 crore mark. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina and Kirti Kulhari in pivotal roles.

On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut’s historical Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has crossed the Rs 91.70 crore mark at the box office since its release on January 25. The film has been mired with controversies but is still holding strong at the box office and is inching closer to the coveted Rs 100 crore mark. If it crosses that then it will be a huge boost for Kangana who has not only acted in the film but also is a co-director.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi also stars Richard Keep, Ankita Lokhande, Danny Denzogpa, Jisshu Sengupta, Nihaar Pandya, Suresh Oberoi and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub.

Sonam Kapoor’s and Anil Kapoor’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is not going great guns at the box office. The film dipped in Week 2 because of its niche positioning and has managed to garner Rs 22.01 crore at the box office.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is a homosexual love story and is directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar. It also stars Juhi Chawla, Rajkummar Rao, Regina Cassandra and Abhishek Duhan in pivotal roles.
