Saif’s Baazaar sees positive collections, Ayushmann’s Badhaai Ho inches towards Rs 100 crore

Despite facing huge competition from Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Badhaai Ho which is keeping audience’s interest, Saif Ali Khan starrer Baazaar managed to gain a foothold at the box office and keep itself alive in the race in the first two days of its release. The film has witnessed a positive 33 percent jump on the second day of its release. It raked in Rs 3.07 crore on its first day but increased its collection on Day 2 with Rs 4.10 crore.

Baazaar is directed by Gauravv K Chawla and also stars Radhika Apte, Chitrangda Singh and Rohan Mehra in the lead. Baazaar is based on the cut-throat world of stockbrokers and is based on the busy and hectic life of Mumbai.

On the other hand, Badhaai Ho is not looking to slow down anytime soon. It is having a great run at the box office and has helped establish Ayushmann as a commercially successful star. The film has already fetched Rs 84.25 crore and will soon enter the esteemed Rs 100 crore club.

Besides Ayushmann, Badhaai Ho stars Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and Surekha Sikri. The film focuses on the issues rarely discussed- the sex lives of middle-aged couples with grown-up children and the discomfort and taboo Indians have in coming to terms with their parents’ sex lives
