Deadpool introduces Cable in the most Deadpool way possible!

You know how you love something so much your IQ just straight up drops to 4? 'Cause, same! Considering the meta-marketing fest that was the roll-out of the original Deadpool movie, it was always expected that we’d be getting another dose of the foul-mouthed hero’s trailer strategy when it came to the sequel.

And the new Deadpool 2 trailer isn't any less as it introduces the character, Cable and is FULL OF REFERENCES! You thought X-Men references was cool, wait till you watch this! I mean, we're ready to pay all of our money just to watch 2 hours of Deadpool trailers!

We're gonna dive into the most obvious one 'cause if that doesn't have you cracking up, we don't know what will!

The trailer opens up with Cable's signature metallic arm not created in post-production yet and appears with a green-screen placeholder sleeve. And to this Deadpool says, "Why are the visual effects not done? It's a metal arm! It's not like we're trying to remove a moustache!" Get that Henry Cavill from Justice League reference?! The DC cinematic universe is quaking!

Ah, Deadpool breaking the fourth wall of cinematography is everything, isn't it? And if you thought that's that... Wait till you see this sneaky Avengers reference right after this dialogue when he says, "I'll do it myself." The exact words Thanos speaks when he takes out the Infinity Gauntlet in the post-credits scene to Avengers: Age of Ultron. And as he continues to act out scenes with his action figures, he notes that he has the “stones” to defeat Cable. We see you, Deadpool!

Given Deadpool’s frequently meta sense of humour, it should come as no surprise that the trailer also references, every 90s kid favourite movie 'Toy Story'! The action figure scene opens with Deadpool entering in Woody's costume saying, "Reach for the sky!" to which Deadpool (well, as Cable) says, "Wrong movie, a**hole"

With Deadpool 2 already being one of the most anticipated movies of 2018, we can't wait to see what's in the store! The film opens in theatres on May 18.

Meanwhile, check out the trailer below while we offer some aloe vera to DC for that burn.
