Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor is currently undergoing treatment for cancer in New York and is expected to return home soon. After being in the Big Apple for over 11 months now, Rishi wants to make sure to get fully recovered before he returns to Mumbai. Now in an interaction with a channel, Rishi showered praises on wife Neetu Kapoor for standing by him like a rock. "She has been a rock of Gibraltar, really really supported me without her I wouldn't be not getting anywhere," he said. To which Neetu reacted by saying, "It's like he became like my child and I wanted to do everything in my power that he should not be in pain, he should get whatever he wants."
Meanwhile, Neetu also opened up on their son Ranbir Kapoor's reaction after hearing the devastating news and said, "Ranbir came and I told him 'There's something I want to tell you.' I told him what happened, he had tears in his eyes. He was in denial for an hour or so. He composed himself and said 'Let's deal with it'." Further, she mentioned how Ranbir dropped everything and rushed to Delhi and all three of them then headed to New York together to immediately start the treatment.
Rishi too talked about Ranbir and said he has visited them four times and he used to stay for five days every time. "We were all time dining and lunching out", as he had a gap of a few days between each treatment," added the actor, who will be heading back home by early September.
A slew of family, friends, and celebrities from across the world, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Karan Johar, have visited Rishi over the past months.
