Inscribed Jade saree to luxe jewels, intricate details that makes Nayanthara’s bridal trousseau REGAL!

South superstar Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan tied the knot today in Mahabalipuram in an intimate ceremony attended by family and a selected few close friends from the industry. From the pictures that have been circulating online, it sure seems to be a dreamy affair with the venue decked up with elegant and exotic flowers, classy chandeliers and sophisticated interiors. Gosh, we are in love already!

But amidst this super-dreamy décor, what took the cake was the actress’ bridal trousseau. For her big day, Nayanthara decided to keep it classy yet regal opting for JADE’s handcrafted saree designed by Monica Shah, elegantly draped by Dolly Jain and styled by Shaleena Nathani.

Her custom vermillion red drape was elevated with intricate tone-on-tone floral embroidery and was inspired by the carvings of the temples of Hoysala. Keeping in mind the actress’ love for all things traditional, the sleeves of the blouse featured Goddess Lakshmi’s motifs, further acting as the bajubandhs. Adding a personal touch to her wedding outfit were the inscribed details on her drape that bore the couple’s names, symbolizing togetherness, commitment and mutual respect.

The regality of her bridal look was elevated with a contrasting set of regal jewellery from the label Goenka. Those layers of rani haar teamed with emerald and diamond-encrusted choker, a stunning maang tika, and precious stones embedded kadas not only added to the regality of her look but also broke the monotony of her quintessential red attire. Not going full-throttle on the henna front, the actress bride opted for a minimalistic mehendi, thus adding an element of elegance.

Ditching the OTT glam, Nayanthara opted for a fresh look with shimmery lids, a red pout curated by Puneet B Saini. Hairstylist Amit Thakur styled her long locks in a traditional floral bun.

Such a stunner!
