Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara tied the knot today and shared their first picture as husband-and-wife on social media post their wedding. The filmmaker took to Twitter and shared a beautiful picture from their intimate wedding which was also attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Atlee and Rajinikanth. The picture showed Nayanthara glowing in her bridal best as she wore a red saree with predominantly green jewelry while Vignesh wore a cream kurta and a traditional golden-bordered veshti. In the picture, Vignesh can be seen giving a peck to Nayanthara on her forehead.
Sharing the picture on social media, Vignesh wrote, “On a scale of 10…She’s Nayan & am the One With God’s grace, the universe , all the blessings of our parents & best of friends Jus married #Nayanthara." Congratulations poured in for the newlywed couple from their fans.

Nayanthara and Vignesh tied the knot at a luxury resort in Mahabalipuram. The wedding was attended by several big stars including SRK, Rajnikanth, Atlee and Vijay.
Initially the couple had planned on hosting the wedding in Tirupati but due to logistical reasons had to move the wedding venue to Mahabalipuram. On June 7, during a press conference, Vignesh had said, “Initially, both of us wanted to get married in Tirupati. We had to change the venue from Tirupati owing to logistic issues. We wanted to call our friends and family members, and we can’t take everyone there. So, we have to decide to get married, here, in Mahabalipuram.”
