Sidharth Malhotra to make his web series debut with Rohit Shetty's cop-action show?

Rohit Shetty is eagerly waiting for his much-awaited film Sooryavanshi to release in theatres on November 5. While the actioner is just 4 days away, Rohit has reportedly locked the lead actor of his first project for OTT. Back in July, there were reports that Rohit is working on a cop-action show for Amazon Prime Video. Now, as per the latest development, he has chosen Sidharth Malhotra to headline his large-scale show.

As per an entertainment portal's report, Rohit will be producing the cop-action show and it will be directed by debutant Sushwanth Prakash. Reportedly, apart from producing the series, Rohit will work as the showrunner and is said to be closely working on the script along with the action scenes. The yet-to-be-announced show is expected to go on floors in 2022. Rumours were rife that Sidharth, Vicky Kaushal and Tiger Shroff were the top contenders to headline the show.

Workwise, Rohit wrapped up the shoot of Ranveer Singh's Cirkus. The film also stars Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. It is based on William Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors. In 2019, Rohit had announced Golmaal Five with Ajay Devgn. However, the film is yet to go on floors.

Sidharth was last seen in Dharma Productions' Shershaah co-starring Kiara Advani. Currently, he is working on Thank God and Mission Majnu.
