Mimi Trailer: Kriti Sanon becomes surrogate mother for money, but her journey with Pankaj Tripathi & Sai Tamhankar isn't what you expect

"It’s nothing like what you’re expecting," said Kriti Sanon introducing her Mimi to the audience last week. The actress intrigued everyone with her first look from the Laxman Utekar directorial. Ending the wait, the makers of Kriti's Mimi released the film's much-awaited trailer today. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak.

Mimi's immensely likeable trailer introduces us to the three key characters of the story. Kriti plays the role of a dancer from Bikaner. However, her life undergoes a major change when she is asked to be the surrogate mother. An American couple offers her a fat amount of money to do so. Mimi agrees. But, her parents, played by Manoj and Supriya, aren't aware of this fact. As Mimi is about to deliver the child, a major twist awaits.

Kriti looks promising as Mimi and does a splendid job in the trailer. Quirky dialogues, a punch of humour, A R Rahman's music and a strong social issue make Mimi a highly-anticipated film. It is based on the Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy! starring Urmila Kanitkar in the lead role

Mimi is produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films. The film is presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan. It will directly release on Jio Cinema and Netflix on July 30.
