Sunflower Trailer: Sunil Grover brings in equal parts of quirk and intrigue in Ranvir Shorey's murder-mystery

ZEE5 is all set to present its first-ever murder mystery with dark humour titled Sunflower. Along with Sunil Grover as Sonu Singh, the 8-episode web series also features Ranvir Shorey as Inspector Digendra, his team-mate Girish Kulkarni as Inspector Tambe, Ashish Vidyarthi as Dilip Iyer, Mukul Chadda as Mr. Ahuja, Radha Bhatt as his wife Mrs. Ahuja and joined by Ashwin Kaushal as Raj Kapoor, Shonali Nagrani as Mrs. Raj Kapoor and Saloni Khanna, amongst others. The web series is set to premiere on June 11, 2021.

The trailer of Sunflower just dropped, and it looks like the series is going to remind us of so many instances that happen in our day-to-day life. The trailer begins with a murder case that Ranvir Shorey and Girish Kulkarni are inspecting very meticulously. Sunil Grover’s character Sonu is just being his innocent self. Sunil brings his forte of creating humour into the show, as he is trying to crack jokes amidst the ongoing murder investigation. The background music throughout the Sunflower trailer maintains a sense of an eerie mystery. Further, in the trailer, we see the event that forms the crux of the show’s story, of ‘when crime meets chaos’, as murder is reported in society.

 The trailer also has a montage of other characters, that conveys that each and every one of them is going to be quirky, and the show is going to be absolutely entertaining. The web series is the story of a middle-class housing society in Mumbai called Sunflower, with quirky characters. From thrill, comedy and drama centered around the characters with their relatable stories, everything revolving around the housing society promises to take you on a roller-coaster ride.  

Produced by Reliance Entertainment and Good Co., the series is written by Vikas Bahl and co-directed by Rahul Sengupta and Vikas Bahl.
