‘Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness’ trailer: Netflix’s CGI series sees popular characters Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield facing zombies

A new Netflix show, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness has been announced at Tokyo Games Show 2020. Netflix Portugal had revealed with a premature tweet about the new show, which was subsequently pulled down. The new CGI episodic series will be coming to the streaming giant in 2021. Now, the digital platform has released a teaser trailer of the show.

Based on the Capcom video game franchise Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a horror series with a sci-fi twist. The show features popular characters Leon S Kennedy and Claire Redfield but nothing is known of the story or setting so far. The teaser trailer showcases Claire once more entering yet another creepy house and stumbles upon a person who has committed suicide. The scene changes to show Leon taking on zombies.

It is not clear whether the series will follow the games closely or come up with another form of media. The show's executive producer, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, announced Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, during the Capcom TGS Live 2020 stream.
