Netflix's upcoming series The Haunting of Bly Manor has managed to excite fans of the horror genre with a spine-chilling teaser. Now, as the follow-up series to The Haunting of Hill House is all set to stream on the digital giant on October 9, the makers took the audience inside the Bly Manor for a sneak-peek with the trailer.
The trailer opens to Dani Clayton (Victoria Pedretti), an American who is called by Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) to take care of his niece and nephew at their family's estate in the English town of Bly in the 1980s. Flora (Amelie Smith) and Miles Wingrave (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) are the two children who lost their parents as well as au pair recently. They reside with the estate’s chef Owen (Rahul Kohli), groundskeeper Jamie (Amelia Eve) and housekeeper, Mrs. Grose (T’Nia Miller). As Dani spends more time with the children at their Bly Manor, she realises there are haunting secrets hidden in the silences.
Created and directed by Mike Flanagan, The Haunting of Bly Manor also stars Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Kate Siegel. The series is said to be loosely based on the 1898 horror novella The Turn of the Screw by Henry James.
