Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlett Witch and Paul Bettany’s Vision try their hand at normal marital life in ‘WandaVision’ trailer with hilarious results

The first trailer of WandaVision has been released by Marvel Entertainment. The first extended trailer for the 2020 Disney Plus series premiered during Emmys and gave us a glimpse of the adorable yet awkward domestic life of Wanda Maximoff (aka Scarlett Witch) and Vision.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their roles of Wanda and Vision respectively. In the trailer we get to see Wanda and Vision enjoying a life of domestic bliss in a quiet suburban neighbourhood in a black-and-white recreation of a 1950s sitcom.

WandaVision is a TV series taking place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Bettany’s Vision technically breathed his last in Avengers: Infinity War at the hands of Thanos and its unclear how he came back from the dead. Their domestic bliss is shattered when a couple asks personal questions like why they don’t have any children. The questions disturb them and they soon realise that everything is not as hunky-dory as it seems.

The trailer also offers a glimpse of Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. According to the official synopsis of the show, “The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealised suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.” WandaVision is expected to release in December, though the trailer simply says ‘coming soon’.
