Bobby Deol assures his show 'Aashram' will not hurt the sentiments of certain communities, says 'makers have taken precautions'

After making his web debut with Netflix's Class Of '83, Bobby Deol is now all set for his first web show - MX Player's Aashram. Directed by Prakash Jha, Aashram is based on a self-proclaimed spiritual leader Kashipurwale Baba Nirala (Bobby) who takes advantage of his devotees' trust.

Ever since the trailer released, there has been a section on the internet that has been slamming the makers for the subject. Bobby has now said that 'the makers have taken precautions against potentially hurting the sentiments of certain communities'. Talking to a leading daily, he said, “These stories have grown out of what’s happening around us and create awareness. Prakashji is only warning us not to fall prey to blind superstitions. There is a disclaimer at the beginning, stating that we respect every religion and belief.”

The actor said that he trained on his diction with a trainer. “I spent a month-and-a-half with my diction trainer, as in my dialogues there were at least four words in a sentence that I did not understand,” he said. The show was filmed in Ayodhya.
