Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl has been making the right amount of buzz ever since it was announced. The biopic, based on the life of the first Indian female airforce pilot Gunjan Saxena who went into combat during the Kargil war, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The trailer was released on August 1 and it received a good response from the audience. After dropping the first song Bharat Ki Beti on August 3, the makers have now dropped its second song titled Dori Tutt Gaiyaan.
The song Dori Tutt Gaiyaan is an emotional take on Janhvi's journey as Gunjan Saxena as she makes an exit from the defense after being termed 'weak. The actress goes through hardship in the song as she sees her dream of becoming the best female airforce pilot crumble. The song also features Pankaj Tripathi, who plays the role of Janhvi's father in the film. He supports his daughter through thick and thin. The soulful track is composed and produced by Amit Trivedi and sung by Rekha Bhardwaj.
Janhvi shared the song on her Instagram and wrote, "Dori Tutt Gaiyaan. Never give up on your dreams. #DoriTuttGaiyaan song out now!"
The actress is busy with the digital promotions of the film and also shared her many moods from it last evening.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl also stars Angad Bedi, Viineet Kumar and Manav Vij. It is directed by Sharan Sharma who is making his directorial debut with it. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is produced by Karan Johar under his production banner Dharma Productions. The film is gearing up for a direct-to-web release. It will premiere on Netflix on August 12, 2020.
