Samantha Akkineni, Taapsee Pannu, Trisha and Manju Warrier unveil the teaser of Keerthy Suresh's thriller 'Penguin'

After much wait, the teaser of Keerthy Suresh's thriller Penguin was unveiled on social media platforms. The film which will release on Amazon Prime Video on June 19 in three different languages that are Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, will trace the journey of a revenge-seeking mother. Intense and an edge-of-the-seat thriller, Penguin promises to be an interesting roller-coaster ride. The teaser was released today. The trailer will be out on June 11. 

Amazon Prime Video shared the teaser on Twitter and wrote, “A mother’s worst nightmare comes true. Trailer out on June 11. #PenguinOnPrime premieres June 19 in Tamil and Telugu, with dub in Malayalam. @KeerthyOfficial @EashvarKarthic @karthiksubbaraj @kaarthekeyens @Sudhans2017”

Interestingly, the teaser of Keerthy's upcoming film was unveiled by the leading ladies of the Indian film industry namely Samantha Akkineni, Taapsee Pannu, Trisha and Manju Warrier.

 

Penguin was scheduled to release in theatres in May. However, due to the Coronavirus lockdown across the nation, the makers opted for a direct-to-web opening. Penguin is the second Tamil film to release on an OTT platform after Jyotika's Ponmagal Vandhal. Directed by Eshvar Karthic, the thriller is bankrolled by Karthik Subbaraj in association with Passion Studios Productions. Kharthik Phalani is the cinematographer while Anil Krish is the editor.
