The trailer of the upcoming Voot Select series Illegal is out. The series looks to be a gripping courtroom drama that features Piyush Mishra, Neha Sharma, Satyadeep Mishra, Kubbra Sait, Satyadeep Mishra, Sheeba Chaddha and Akshay Oberoi in pivotal parts. Written by Reshu Nath and directed by Sahir Raza we get to see Neha and Piyush play criminal defense lawyers.
Illegal takes a look at whether all lawyers are mercenaries and out to make money twisting and turning the truth or whether there are still some who would fight for principals, ideologies and truth. Neha’s character from the trailer appears as a lawyer who only cares about winning and pays no heed to the ethics of the profession. However, she is forced to question her ideologies when she is assigned to defend a rapist.

Mishra plays a senior criminal lawyer (Janardan Jaitley) who is the best in India. But he needs a lawyer who can not only win the case in the courtroom but also in the eyes of the media and hence recruits Neha for a specific case. But she is against capital punishment and takes over the case and realizes that it is more complicated than what she had bargained for.
Illegal will start streaming on Voot from 12 May onwards.
