Neha Sharma, Akshay Oberoi to star in Law and Honour web series

Neha Sharma, who sank after making a splash with Mohit Suri’s action thriller Crook opposite Emraan Hashmi and Arjan Bajwa in 2010, is reportedly making a big comeback in a web series next.

The actress, who was described as being India’s Angelina Jolie, found her career floundering after her big Bollywood debut. She had small roles in Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan and Bejoy Nambiar’s Solo last year, but these roles didn’t do much for Neha’s career.

Now Neha is back in a big way with the web series Law and Honour on Viacom 18’s video-on-demand platform VOOT. PeepingMoon.com sources say Neha will play the role of a lawyer in this legal drama. The series has already been shot and will be streamed soon.

Law and Honour also stars Piyush Mishra, Kubra Sait of Sacred Games fame and Satyadeep Mishra in pivotal roles. It is directed by Sahir Raza. The series questions whether all lawyers are professionals and can resist the trap of greed, ambition, and power in modern times.

Akshay Oberoi, who was last seen in Kaalakaandi, will be seen opposite Neha in the series playing a fellow lawyer. The actor is currently shooting for Chhote Nawab in Lucknow with Lipstick Under My Burkha actress Plabita Borthakur. The film is directed by Kumud Chaudhary and produced by Yoodlee Films.
