Amruta shared a few pictures on her social media account as well. The two look equally dangerous as well as stunning. Amruta’s photo reminds one of Kangana’s poster from her forthcoming film, Mental Hai Kya? Going by the tagline, Damaged –A Fatal Pursuit of Love, one can remember a number of films that were based on the same premise and most of them were thrilling and a little scary too.

Remember Urmila Matondkar’s obsessive love for Fardeen Khan in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya or Shah Rukh Khan’s Darr or Julia Roberts’s Sleeping With the Enemy. We wonder what will be the premise of the new show. However, it does bring about a little breather from the over-the-top daily soaps which revolve around scheming relatives.

Talking about her role to the media, Amruta said, "I don't want to be known as a monotonous actress but a versatile performer who is ready to risk upon playing extraordinary characters which has different shades to it. his is a flawed character as you don’t see too many of those. It is liberating to essay the role of a woman who is strong, bold and unapologetic about her choices in life. The industry needs to make a conscious effort to write storylines that go beyond the obvious and create characters that have more shades than one."

In Raazi, Amruta played the character of a Pakistani woman and had a pivotal role in the film who supports her Indian sister-in-law. The film is going great guns at the Box Office and has gone past achieving the difficult feat of Rs 100 crores.

Raazi also stars Vicky Kaushal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rajit Kapoor and Soni Razdan and is directed by Meghna Gulzar.

Amruta and her husband, Himmanshoo A. Malhotraha, had also won Nach Baliye 7, a popular Star Plus' dance reality show.
