In a heartfelt unburdening of his soul on PeepingMoon.com’s podcast ‘BenchMARK Conversations’, Abhishek Bachchan discusses his string of flops, embracing failures, negotiating nepotism, and how he rebuilt his craft after 25 years in Bollywood. The actor, who had two OTT releases and one theatrical last year in ‘Kaalidhar Laapata’ and ‘Be Happy’, and ‘Housefull 5’, respectively, is now looking forward to Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller ‘King’ and Riteish Deshmukh’s multi-star ‘Raja Shivaji’ in 2o26.
Abhishek told Mark Manuel in the podcast presented by Reliance Digital when asked what failure had taught him, “I know for a fact the number of films in which I was replaced simply because I did not bring anything commercially viable to the table. There have been several films in which I was replaced after shooting, sometimes just before the shoot, at the shoot when I reached on the first day and saw they were shooting with somebody else… and nobody had the courtesy to tell me. So failure taught me a lot, it taught me everything, it taught me never to give up.”
