Oscar trophy is going to put some acceleration in the script: SS Rajamouli on hastening RRR sequel after Naatu Naatu win at the 95th Academy Awards

SS Rajamouli’s RRR created history at the 95th Academy Awards yesterday on March 13 (IST) when its song Naatu Naatu won in the Best Original Song category bringing home the Oscar statuette. Music composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose lifted the trophy on the Oscars 2023 stage delighting their fans in the process. The win’s impact has spurred Rajamouli to hasten the work on RRR's sequel.

Speaking to an online portal, SS Rajamouli opened up about the historic win’s impact on the film’s planned sequel. He said that he may now have to work faster on RRR 2. When asked whether the Oscar win would motivate him to work faster on the project, he said this can ‘obviously’ happen. He said, “Obviously, (Oscar win) is going to put some acceleration in the script. Definitely, yes, let's see.”
