‘Am proud as a father, secondly because I introduced him,’ says Allu Aravind on son Allu Arjun’s stardom, confirms granddaughter Arha’s cameo in Samantha’s Shaakuntalam

Film producer-distributor Allu Aravind has said that he is not only proud to be known as the father of Allu Arjun but is also proud that he launched his son as a child actor with the 1985 film Vijetha at the age of three. Later, he launched All Arjun as the lead actor in 2003’s Gangotri. He also confirmed that his granddaughter, Allu Arjun’s daughter Arha is all set to star in Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Shaakuntalam.

In a new interview with an online portal, Allu Aravind said that previously he was recognized for his films, but now they enquire about his son. He said, “This is a proud moment for me. Sometimes, they come to me with their children and say, 'You know who he is? He is the father of your favourite hero, Allu Arjun. Firstly, I am proud as a father. Secondly, I am proud because I introduced him. We still live under one roof and every day we come across each other. So we talk about everything under the sun.”

He also spoke about Arha’s presence in Shaakuntalam and said that it is a small role and praised his granddaughter by saying, “she is very energetic and we are excited."

Allu Arjun has become a pan-India star with his last release Pushpa: The Rise (2021). The film was released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi and also starred Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. The sequel, Pushpa: The Rule is one of the most anticipated films of the year.
