As we said it! Prabhas takes a leap into the world of Prashanth Neel's 'Salaar'; film to go on floors in January 2021

Prabhas is on a signing spree! The Bahubali of Indian cinema put an end to all speculations and announced that he has teamed up with KGF franchise's director Prashanth Neel for a pan-India film. Titled Salaar, the film will go on floors in January 2021. Prabhas further delighted his fans by sharing his look from the film on Instagram. PeepingMoon has exclusively informed its readers about Prabhas and Prashanth's collaboration on November 30, 2020.

"Today I take a leap into the world of #SALAAR. Shoot commences from Jan 2021. An Indian Film by @hombalefilms @vkiragandur @prashanthneel," Prabhas wrote on Instagram. In the poster shared, Prabhas is seen sporting a mustache. With a rifle in his hand, the actor looks raw, rugged and menacing. According to PeepingMoon sources, Salaar is along the lines of Prashanth's directorial debut Ugramm (2014) which revolved around a hero who fights against the thugs for a social cause. Salaar will be set in a fictional dramatic world of mafias.

Sharing his excitement about the project, the film's producer, Vijay Kiragandur said, "At Hombale Films, we have always aimed at providing a larger than life cinematic experience to our audiences. This is very special for us and I am really happy to collaborate with Prashanth Neel and Prabhas for this. They're both so good at what they do and we can't wait to begin the shoot soon. I'm hopeful that the audiences will continue to give us same amount of love."

Prashanth also opened up about the same and shared, "I'm extremely thrilled to join hands with Mr. Vijay Kiragandur and our very talented Prabhas. We were in talks for quite some time about the project and now when it's finally happening, we are all geared up to present a one-of-a-kind actioner to our audiences. They are definitely going to see Prabhas in a never seen before avatar, which I am confident cinema fans will love. Hombale Films have always backed solid stories and given blockbusters like KGF and Raajakumara, hence this is going to be bigger than anyone has ever seen. I'm really honoured to be directing the film."

In addition to this, the man of the hour Prabhas further stated, "I've always wanted to work with Hombale Films and having Prashanth Neel as the director for our film, I don't think there can be a better and more exciting opportunity for me as an actor. This is a very exciting film and my character is extremely violent, so this is something I haven't really done before. It's a Pan-Indian film and I can't wait to be on the sets already."
