S S Rajamouli ropes Olivia Morris opposite Jr. NTR in 'RRR'; Alison Doody and Ray Stevenson to play the baddies

SS Rajamouli was a known face down South but with his blockbuster film Bahubali, he achieved global recognition and the biggest commercial success of his career. With the announcement of his next film RRR featuring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan Teja from the Southern belt while Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn were roped in from Bollywood with British actress Daisy Edgar Jones in an important role, the anticipation levels have shot up extremely high. However, just a few days after the announcement, Daisy, who was supposed to play the role of Jr NTR's love interest, backed out from the film stating personal reasons. Since then, the buzz regarding Daisy's replacement did the rounds. Now, after much speculations and wait, the makers of the period drama finally announced the name of the actress who will star opposite Jr. NTR. And the actress is none other than British actress Olivia Morris. She will play the role of Jennifer.

Along with this major announcement, S S Rajamouli and his team informed that the role of the antagonists in RRR will be played by Alison Doody and Ray Stevenson. For the unversed, Alison is an Irish actress with films like A View To Kill, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade to her merit while Ray has appeared in Thor, King Arthur and several other popular TV shows. Alison, in RRR, will play the role of Lady Scott while Ray is Scott.

Talking about RRR, it is a fictitious tale on two Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR respectively.  The is made on a huge scale of Rs 350-400 crores and is set in the 1920s pre-independence era. Jr.NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem whereas Ram Charan will be playing Alluri Seetharama Raju. As per reports, Alia will be playing Ram Charan's love interest- Sita while Ajay is his father and will be seen in an extended cameo. RRR directed by SS Rajamouli and produced DVV Danayya is all set to release on July 30, 2020, in 10 languages.
