One call connects her to Samar Khurana (Zaheer Iqbal), a man living in 2016, while Kiran belongs to 2026. What begins as an unusual connection between two timelines soon takes a darker turn as Samar develops an obsession with Kiran. He starts blackmailing her and makes demands that put her in a difficult situation. As Kiran struggles to find a way out, the mysterious phone becomes central to her fight for survival. With two timelines connected through an unexpected link, the film explores how an unusual connection can change lives and turn into a battle of love, obsession and survival.
Acting
Sonakshi Sinha brings her presence to the role of Kiran Mittal Malhotra, a woman caught in an increasingly complicated situation. The character allows her to explore vulnerability, fear and determination as the story unfolds. Zaheer Iqbal, however, does not seem suited to the character of Samar Khurana, and his portrayal of an obsessive lover is more irritating than intimidating. The obsession never becomes truly scary, which takes away from the tension the character is supposed to create. Ankit Gupta plays Riaan, while Zarina Wahab appears in a guest role. The cast supports the film's central conflict, which revolves around an unusual relationship and its consequences.
Direction
Written and directed by Karan Rawal, ‘Tu Hai Meri Kiran’ combines romance, mystery and a time-bending premise. The idea of connecting two people living a decade apart gives the narrative an intriguing starting point. The mysterious phone becomes the driving force behind the conflict, taking the story from an unexpected connection to a struggle for survival. The shifts between timelines add another layer to the mystery, while the themes of love and obsession remain central to the story.
Music
The background score complements the film's suspenseful moments and supports its thriller elements. The romantic track adds an emotional touch, balancing the tension surrounding Kiran and Samar's relationship. The music contributes to the film's overall atmosphere without taking focus away from the central storyline.
Overall
If you enjoy thriller entertainers that keep you on the edge of your seat, ‘Tu Hai Meri Kiran’ is definitely a watch-worthy.
