Storyline
‘Love in Vietnam’ begins with a young man from Punjab going to Vietnam where he meets an artist named Linh and they fall in love. However, his childhood friend Simmi also reaches there and the matter turns into a love triangle. Suddenly Linh mysteriously disappears and years later, while marrying Simmi, the hero gets to know the truth about Linh.
Acting
The performances of Avneet and Shantanu are the biggest weakness of the film. There is no chemistry between these two. The dialogue delivery is very dull and full of overacting. It seems as if the actors themselves were confused about the story.
Direction
The direction has been a complete failure. The locations could have been good, but they were also not used properly. The flow of the scenes is mismatched and at many places the film drags on unnecessarily.
Dialogues
The dialogues are so weak and boring that they fail to make an impact in any scene. Even in romantic and emotional scenes, the lines sound hollow.
Music
The music ruins the mood of the film instead of saving it. The songs are not memorable and the background score is also very ordinary.
Overall
‘Love in Vietnam’ turns out to be a very disappointing film. Due to poor script, weak acting, unsuccessful direction and dull music, this film does not appeal at all.
