Storyline
Mamta Mishra (Divya Khossla) is a simple woman struggling with financial difficulties. One day she finds a lost phone containing an intimate video of a powerful businessman (Neil Nitin Mukesh). This mutual glimpse gives Mamta the idea of blackmail and she targets the businessman. The story begins with twists and turns and games of deception and fraud, where who will betray whom is revealed at every turn.
Acting
Acting proves to be the biggest weakness of the film. Divya Khosla Kumar and the rest of the actors have tried to bring life to their characters, but due to overacting and fake emotions, everything seems strange and artificial. There is no chemistry between the lead and supporting cast.
Direction
There is no novelty or tightness in the direction at all. The flow of the scenes is broken and the film loses its pace again and again. The director seems unable to handle the story, which makes the film look even more scattered.
Dialogues
The dialogues are very weak and old fashioned. The comic timing is completely missed and the lines which should have made you laugh, leave the audience silent. The dialogues do not prove to be effective even in emotional scenes.
Music
The music of the film also disappoints. The songs are neither memorable nor fit the story. The background score also sounds strange at many places and instead of supporting the scenes, makes them duller.
Overall
Ek Chatur Naar is a weak film which neither succeeds in comedy nor touches emotions.
