Jogira Sara Ra Ra Review: Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma uplift a routine, predictable rom-com

Film: Jogira Sara Ra Ra

Cast: Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Neha Sharma, Zarina Wahab

Director: Kushan Nandy

Rating: 3 Moons

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma's Jogira Sara Ra Ra has finally released in theatres. Directed by Kushan Nandy, the film is written by Ghalib Asad Bhopali. The family entertainer revolves around the lives of Jogi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and Dimple (Neha Sharma) who are stuck in an unusual situation and the only way out is marriage.

Jogira Sara Ra Ra relies heavily on smaller and finer nuances when it comes to making a joke land. Set in a small town, it is a film that tries to entertain with its puns rather than getting deeply involved in telling a love story. The chaos that takes place in a middle-class joint family is captured in the best essence.

Director Kushan Nandy uses the strength of his actors perfectly. He is aware of what they can bring to the table and allows them to take centre stage with their abilities. He brings together a unique pair of Nawazuddin and Neha. The dialogues in Jogira Sara Ra Ra work big time as some of them manage to tickle your funny bone. There are smart dialogues that act as perfect puns especially the one when a character gives an interesting spin to Nawazuddin's iconic dialogue from Gangs Of Wasseypur.

In spite of being a fun film, Jogira Sara Ra Ra is far away from being a perfect one. There's a lack of novelty in the story. The industry has seen several films that shared similar plotlines. The treatment given to it is dull and sometimes unexciting. The chemistry between Nawazuddin and Neha is missing and does no good to the film. The random placement of songs is yet another major letdown.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui yet again entertains with Jogira Sara Ra Ra. His comic timing is perfect and has the ability to make his audience laugh even in the middle of all the chaos. Neha Sharma looks stunning and impresses but only in parts.

Jogira Sara Ra Ra is strictly for fans of Nawazuddin who are willing to watch him in a different light. It is a family entertainer but not free of double-meaning jokes.
