BAFTA 2018: Angelina And Kate Rule The Red Carpet

The award season baton was passed on to the Brits, this Sunday night, to make way for the much-awaited BAFTA awards. BAFTA, which looked more like a continuation of the recent Golden Globe's, was once again draped in black gowns. We witnessed all our A-listers come together in support of the 'Time's Up' campaign and 'Me Too' movement. If history is anything to go by, donning an all-black ensemble never stopped our celebs from having fun with fashion. While most of these divas stunned in their couture gowns, Angelina Jolie and Kate Middleton had our complete attention.

Nobody does fashion like Angelina Jolie. The drop-dead-beauty who knows to make an appearance, looks completely at home while sashaying down this red-carpet. The diva stepped out in a Ralph and Russo gown, keeping in mind the event's dress-code. The dress which looked quite simple and basic, at first glance, took a 360-degree-turn when Angelina decided to take the shawl off.  Miss Jolie happily struck a pose for the shutterbugs in a sweetheart neckline, thigh-high slit velvet gown. She accentuated this look with chandelier dangly earrings. Winged eyeliner and hair tied back in a tight bun completed her ulta-glam look.

It's a rare sight to see royalty on the red-carpet, but seeing Kate Middleton attend the event, along with Prince Williams, was truly a delight. While the internet is going a little tipsy-topsy over her emerald green attire, we have to give it to the Duchess of Cambridge, who tired her best to stay away from making any kind of political statement. She graced the event in flow-y emerald green, chiffon gown by Jenny Packham. The Dutchess had her tassels blow-dried in voluminous curls. She paired this beautiful attire with emerald jewels and black velvet clutch. The royalty who supposedly give a subtle nod to this movement completed her look with dewy makeup and winged eye-liner.
