Rahul Raut’s Bol Bollywood Bol…1: Ranbir-Alia big day coming in December and it's not the completion of ‘Brahmastra’

RANBIR Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are getting married. Sooner than you think! We heard the celeb couple is planning to tie the knot in December and preparations have already begun. They are scouting for an exotic location to hold the wedding and family members have suggested many options. Everyone is hush-hush about the wedding at this moment. However, it’s just a matter of time before the news is officially out.

The giveaway was the one-and-half months break that Ranbir and Alia have taken from their projects to prepare for the BIG DAY. Ranbir is filming for Luv Ranjan’s rom-com with Shraddha Kapoor while Alia is shooting for the final leg of Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. They will then shoot together for the final schedule of the much-delayed Brahmastra in November and this will be their last film shot before the wedding. It’s believed that Alia has not signed any other project to accommodate time for her wedding while Ranbir has also postponed Sandeep Reddy Bhanga’s Animal to next year.

Fun fact: Ranbir and Alia fell in love when they started shooting for Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra on New Year in 2018 and they are now getting married soon after completing that film.

TALKING about weddings, actress Diana Penty is also getting married to her long-time boyfriend, diamond merchant Harsh Sagar. They have been in a relationship for over six years now and are finally set to tie the knot next month in a private ceremony.

VIDYA Balan is collaborating with her Tumhari Sulu director Suresh Triveni again. They recently completed shooting for Vikram Malhotra’s Jalsa that also stars Shefali Shah, Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Gurpal Singh, and Surya Kasibhatla in pivotal roles. We heard Vidya will be seen playing a TV news anchor while Shefali will be essaying the role of her maid whose son dies in an accident. It’s said to be a thriller drama about class differences in society and will release in theaters in the first quarter of next year.

FILMMAKER duo Raj & DK’s next Amazon Prime series has been titled Golconda. No, we are not talking about the show with Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, but the one they’re producing under their banner D2R Films. It’s a cool, period, satirical comedy series that’s being directed by Tumbbad fame Rahi Anil Barve. Pankaj Tripathi, Kunal Kemmu and Abhishek Banerjee are playing the lead roles in this whacky, hilarious show set in the times of the Kama Sutra. With roots in folklore and mythology, the show will be a visual spectacle and explore a never-attempted-before genre in India, just like Barve’s first film Tumbbad that was more of a blend of horror and mythology. The project has already gone on floors and will premiere in the last quarter of 2022.

RAJKUMMAR Rao is booked and busy like no one with five projects lined up to release in the coming year. The Stree actor kicked off 2021 with Ramin Bahrani’s Netflix film The White Tiger in January, followed that up with Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy Roohi in March, and is set to end the year with his family comedy Hum Do Hamare Do which is scheduled to premiere directly on Disney+Hotstar on October 29. Junglee Pictures’ Badhaai Do co-starring Bhumi Pednekar is expected to be his opening film for the next year while his Vasan Bala directed Netflix Original Monica, O My Darling! will premiere mid-2022. Rao will follow this murder-mystery with HIT remake and then with Anubhav Sinha’s socio-political drama Bheed that goes on floors next month in Lucknow. Furthermore, he is also rumoured to be doing Raj & DK’s next web series that they are making for the streaming giant Netflix next year.
