PeepingMoon2018: KJo to Bebo, Bollywood celebs who got chatty with their talk shows


Of late, Bollywood celebs have been exploring every available content medium and no longer limit themselves to the big screen! So while we have a host of Bollywood biggies venturing into the digital medium, ramp shows, and advertisements, we also have quite a few who now host chat shows and TV reality shows.

Putting aside those stars who judge reality shows, here’s a look at some who are the main focus of the shows they host.

Karan Johar – Koffee with Karan

In its sixth season this year, K Jo’s chat show has managed to up the TRP ratings as well. With new star pairings and some of the newer actors on the fabled coffee couch, Karan has managed to keep the audience interest alive and gives them something to look forward to every Sunday evening. Karan's chat show had some amazing and cool stars making their debut on the couch and ended up regaling us with their banter and surprising us with some well-hidden trade secrets. The show is going to end with another high, KJo is bringing Kareena and Priyanka Chopra to share the couch which will definitely be a hoot!

Neha Dhupia – No Filter Neha

Neha reinvented herself when she started to host this chat show. Interviewing Bollywood A-listers and getting them to spill the beans is the USP of the show and Neha has been doing a commendable job! She did not even let her pregnancy come in the way of broadcasting the show and continued to work, bringing us interesting trivia and tidbits on our favourite celebs.

Kareena Kapoor-Khan – What Women Want

Kareena followed in the wake of her BFF Karan Johar to debut on IshqFM 104.8 with this radio show. She has been giving the female stars of Bollywood space and a place to voice their opinions and speak on various topics under the sun. Sunny leone, Karisma Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and several other Bollywood stars made their appearance on the show.

Karan Johar – Calling Karan

Karan made radio his domain with this show that is in its second season this year. Regaling listeners with his advice on modern day love and relationship issues, the show gained immense popularity in the first season itself. Airing on Ishq FM 104.8, Karan has been dishing out relationship advice galore. A USP of the show is that several Bollywood celebs also call in to take advice from their ‘agony aunt’ Karan!

Amitabh Bachchan – Kaun Banega Crorepati

How can we forget the man himself who made it cool for Hindi film actors to appear on television? Amitabh Bachchan hosted the 10thseason of his uber-popular quiz show this year. It is one of the most iconic shows on Indian television and is eagerly awaited by all every year. This year too Amitabh did a swell job of hosting the quiz show and managed to bring a smile on several people's face with his charisma as well as the prize money that they won on the show. Hopefully, he will be back next year too for the 11th season, let's keep our fingers crossed to see Big B on television screens once again.

Salman Khan – Bigg Boss 12

You can’t escape the enigma of Salman Bhai! He is currently hosting the 12th season of Bigg Boss which is in its last few days. The show might not have tipped the TRP ratings this season but Salman ensured that his presence manages to engage the audience. The appearance of Bollywood celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput and Rohit Shetty appearing with Salman to promote their films, has also ensured that the show grabs extra viewership on weekends.
