Family members bid an emotional farewell to Bhupinder Singh; legendary singer laid to rest at Oshiwara crematorium

Legendary singer Bhupinder Singh passed away at the age of 82 in Mumbai on Monday. His wife, Mitali Singh, confirmed the news and said he was suffering from several health complications, including urinary issues. The funeral took place at the Oshiwara crematorium at 12.30 am. 

In a statement, Mitali revealed the legendary singer was COVID-19 positive.

He was suspected to have colon cancer.

Dr Deepak Namjoshi, the director of Criticare Asia hospital, said in a statement, "Bhupinderji was admitted ten days back to our hospital. He had an infection. We had strong suspicion that he had Colon ailment and we were doing investigations. In the same time, he got Covid-19. His condition worsened on Monday morning and we had to put him on a ventilator. He got a cardiac arrest and passed away at 7:45 pm."

Mr Singh was known to give classics like Naam Gum Jayega, Beeti Na Beetai Raina, Do Deewane Shaher Mein, Aane Se Uske Aaye Bahar, Kisi Nazar Ko Tera Intezar Aaj Bhi Hai and many more.
