74th Emmy Awards Nomination: Succession leads the pack; Squid Game creates history, becomes 1st non-English show to compete in Best Drama category

The 74th Emmy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on September 12, 2022. A month prior to one of the most significant awards ceremonies, the organisers issued the list of nominees. While HBO bagged maximum nominations (108 nods), Netflix earned 105.

Succession led the pack with 25 nominations. Squid Game created history by becoming the first non-English show to earn the best drama nomination along with 13 other nods. Severance, Stranger Things, Barry, Euphoria, Ted Lasso and others are the frontrunners. Adam Scott, Reese Witherspoon, Zendaya, and Jason Bateman scored nominations in the acting category.
