Britney Spears is starting fresh after living under a restrictive conservatorship for 13 years. In 2021, her father Jamie Spears was removed as the conservator of her estate. Jamie, who controlled the singer's life and money for 13 years, had filed his petition to terminate the conservatorship. Beginning her life once again, Britney is now expecting a new member! The singer shared the news on Instagram and left fans delighted. She is engaged to Sam Asghari. Britney has two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James from her previous marriage with Kevin Federline.
I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back … I thought “Geez … what happened to my stomach ???” My husband said “No you’re food pregnant silly !!!” So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby … 4 days later I got a little more food pregnant It’s growing !!! If 2 are in there … I might just lose it … I obviously won’t be going out as much due to the paps getting their money shot of me like they unfortunately already have … it’s hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression … I have to say it is absolutely horrible … women didn’t talk about it back then … some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her … but now women talk about it everyday … thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret … This time I will be doing yoga every day !!! Spreading lots of joy and love !!!
Britney and Sam got engaged on September 13, 2021. The singer shared the news with a video on Instagram. She flaunted her diamond ring in the video; the ring's band reads “lioness” because it is Sam's nickname for her.
During a court hearing, Britney revealed that it was not possible for her to get married or have a baby in the conservatorship as she had an IUD (Intrauterine Device) that prevented her from getting pregnant. She said, "I would like to progressively move forward and I want to have the real deal, I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby, I have an IUD inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant. I wanted to take the IUD out so I could start trying to have another baby. But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have children anymore."
