Oscars Slapgate Controversy: Jada Pinkett Smith breaks silence on Will Smith-Chris Rock incident, shares a cryptic note about 'healing'

On the stage of Oscars 2022, Will Smith smacked Chris Rock for mocking his wife Jada Pinkett Smith's medical condition. Before presenting an award, Chris said she was looking like GI Jane 2. Jada decided to shave her head amid her battle with alopecia.

Now, days after the Oscars slapgate controversy, Jada broke her silence. In a cryptic note on Instagram, she spoke about healing. The cryptic note read, "This is a season for healing and I'm here for it," and Jada shared it without a caption.

In a video shared in December, Jada opened up about alopecia. She said, "Now at this point, I can only laugh. I mean y'all know I've been struggling with alopecia and just all of a sudden, one day — look at this line right here — look at that." She added, "And so, it just showed up like that."

She continued, "Now, this is going to be a little bit more difficult for me to hide so I thought I’d share it so y’all not asking any questions. But you know, mama’s going to put some rhinestones in there and I’m just going to make me a little crown. That’s what mama’s going to do."
