Death On The Nile trailer: Kenneth Branagh and Gal Gadot take center stage in this Agatha Christie murder mystery; studio tries best to downplay Armie Hammer's presence

After several delays, Kenneth Branagh’s and Gal Gadot’s Death on The Nile has released another trailer with the announcement of its international release date and a brand new poster. The film features an impressive ensemble cast that includes Armie Hammer, Ali Fazal, Letitia Wright, Emma Mackey, Russell Brand, Sophie Okonedo, Annette Bening, and more.

The trailer does downplay Hammer after being accused of sexual assault, psychological abuse and manipulation earlier this year but the actor features on the poster. The accusations levied against Hammer resulted in the Death On The Nile press tour and release being postponed.

In the new trailer, Hammer gets a significantly low presence as compared to the first that was released in the earlier part of the year and focuses more on Gal and Branagh’s celebrated detective Hercule Poirot. Branagh has also directed the film and stars in the central role of the celebrated fictional Belgian detective created by author Agatha Christie.

Death On The Nile revolves around a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon aboard a cruise that goes for a toss after a murder is committed. Branagh’s Hercule Poirot goes on the trail of the murderer as Gal, a wealthy heiress confides in him that she doesn’t feel safe anywehere. Death On The Nile also stars Rose Leslie, Dawn French, Tom Bateman and Jennifer Saunders. It is scheduled to hit theatres on February 11, 2022.
